This website collects very little information. We store only the minimum of personal information. This includes the name and email addresses of registered members and where they have been added the addresses of members.

This information is kept on the website’s server for the administration of the web site.

Contact Forms

Our contact forms do not save information but the email accounts of the recipients will. The personal information in the emails will not be shared outside of the Westport Beekeepers Association and the people it was intended for or with whom it must be shared in order to act on it.

We never see or have any access to your credit card details. They are only shared with PayPal when you set up your account or use their services.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. How we protect your data

Our server is protected by an SSL certificate. This means that your information between your computer and our website is encrypted. This prevents the man in the middle attack. The website is also protected by security software.

What data breach procedures we have in place

All registered users will be notified as soon as possible if there is a successful attack on this website.

If you do not accept our privacy policy, you should not use our website.
